The inventory is mainly based on literature data.0The data set represents a global and unified applied technology.The data set can be adapted to the country / region specific situation by using the applicable data sets with the country / region specific conditions.Data for this process are based on the KTBL (Association for Technology and Structures in Agriculture) data collection "Faustzahlen für die Landwirtschaft 2009" and have been calculated over the working time requirements. It is assumed that an average plot of land gages 2 ha with a distance between field and farm of 3 km on the average. The system boundaries of these processes include the driving from farm to field, the proceeding itself (as, for example, ploughing or combining) as well as the return from field to farm. Transports of harvested goods from field to farm like, for example, corn or straw, are neglected and have to be considered separately. The tractor specific consumption and emission data (HC, NOx, CO and CO2 emissions) have been especially elaborated by FAT (Swiss Federal Research Station for Agricultural Economics and Engineering) in order to calculate eco-balances of agricultural production processes. The underlying waste gas model of FAT is based on 109 single measurements with over 162,000 data sets and a gate time of 450 hours in trial operation. The data source for the modelling of benzpyrene and dust (particles into air) is Borken et al. As benzpyrene values strongly fluctuate throughout different sources from literature, they are freely adjustable between 100 and 200 ng / MJ diesel. The preset value is set to 150 ng / MJ diesel. Fossil and biogenic carbon emissions and removals: removals and emissions are modelled as follows: All GHG emissions from fossil fuels (including peat and limestone) are modelled consistently with the ILCD list of elementary flows. In the case that the emissions refer to the molecules CO2 and CH4, they are modelled as ‘carbon dioxide (fossil)’ and ‘methane (fossil)’. Biogenic uptake and emissions are modelled separately. For land use change, all carbon emissions and uptakes are inventoried separately for each of the elementary flows.
